If You Crash a Ferrari, You Can Always Turn it Into a Crashed Ferrari Coffee Table
By EDITORIAL STAFF
Cut a hole in a box. Put your crashed Ferrari in that box. Make her put that box... in the living room. And that's the way you do it. Unbelievably, that's really how you create a Crashed Ferrari Coffee Table.
Created by Charly Molinelli of Molinelli Designs, the totaled Ferrari was shaped so that it could fit inside the interior of a coffee table. I don't think it gets more stupidly swaggerific than having a red Ferrari as the centerpiece of your living room. What's the story behind it! How much does it cost to get one done up, like this? Oh to be rich and foolish and rich and rich and rich.

By EDITORIAL STAFF

Grand Royal has opened in Abu Dhabi, showcasing the largest
Italian interiors collection assembled in the UAE.
Dazzling collections of distinguished furniture are spread across the new showroom, displaying exclusive selections from high-end Italian interior design and furniture names. The new showroom has brought creations from Versace Home, Blumarine, IPE Cavalli, Francesco Molon, Jumbo Collection, Faustig, Mechini, Rozzoni and others under a single roof.
“These names are certainly well-known in UAE, but the concentration of all of them in one shop is an event that deserves special attention,” said Tatiana Starinets, General Manager of Grand Royal.
“Versace Home is a premier home fashion brand, and we are so pleased it is represented by Grand Royal company here in Abu Dhabi," commented Massimiliano Ragazzi, General Manager of Versace Home.
Not only does the showroom display luxurious pieces, but it also resembles an entire home ambience that can be assembled together with the help of the in-store interior designers.
“We’re ready to provide turnkey interior solutions, starting right from the architectural drawings and the building of the space, all the way to interior design and implementation," Starinets said. “We have furnished everything from mansions and yachts to spas and boutique hotels. The one overriding element in all these projects was the delivery of high-end quality."
The launch event also featured Swarovski crystal portraits of the UAE’s President, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the UAE’s Prime Minister and Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum.
Renowned harpist Anna kept the crowd entertained, performing on

Crystal Bathtub Takes Pride Of Place At Harrods
By EDITORIAL STAFF
Harrods has always been at the forefront of supplying the world with luxurious items, but this crystal bathtub crafted by indulgent Italian company Baldi might just take the title of most extravagant. The unique bathtub will be on display in the main window at Harrods, London for the entire month of July.
The huge tub, 2 metres in length and 55cm in height was previously shown in Milan at I Saloni in April 2010 and is carved from a single enormous block of the purest white rock crystal, quarried in the Amazon region of Brazil. The block was discovered in 2006 when Paolo Baldi, father of the company's current CEO Luca Baldi, learned of the existence of this ten-ton block of flawless crystal and had it extracted and transported to Italy intact.
This incredible bathtub is the second to be made from the immense block. The original was shown at Salone del Mobile in 2008 and immediately snapped up by a Russian magnate, but the tub featured in the Harrods window is by no means a replica of the first. Each is unique, though both were sculpted with diamond cuts and left partially rough to expose the natural beauty of the crystal. If you are thinking of snapping up this incredible tub, your pockets may have to be as deep as the quarries it is excavated from as it comes in at £530,000.
The one-of-a-kind bathtub will be on show at Harrods in Knightsbridge until the end of July.
