The Velvet Collection is Italian fashion house Dolce & Gabbana’s first fragrance collection, and it was unveiled at Saks Fifth Avenue this month.
The series comprises six perfumes ($195 for a 50 ml bottle), each inspired by various parts of Italy. The collection showcases the citrus-scented Velvet Sublime, reminiscent of the Sicilian orange groves; Velvet Love features a floral bouquet evocative of the carnations along Lake Como; and the sweet yet woody notes of Velvet Vetiver were inspired by summers on the Mediterranean.
