An icon in high horology, particularly in its historic relationship with marine navigation, Ulysse Nardin is pleased, once again, to partake in the Monaco Yacht Show that attracts a global community of yachting authorities and enthusiasts.

The Ulysse Nardin Monaco 2011 Executive Dual Limited Edition echoes the regal lifestyle of the Principality of Monaco.

Engineered with the Ulysse Nardin patented Dual Time system and conveying a modern aesthetic with classically refined characteristics, the Monaco 2011 is fitting for the watch connoisseur who seeks unparalleled precision and considers dressing a form of art and strong self-expression.

The timepiece’s bold blue dial, bezel and strap mirror the mystery and magic of the great depths of the ocean.

Its streamlined stainless steel case evokes the essence of a yacht cutting through the water.

Oversized Roman numerals, three-dimensional hands and a boldly sized date allow for ease in time tracking, always keeping the avid yachtsman on schedule for the most important events.

Its sleek bezel and plus and minus pushers at the eight and ten o’clock position, are crafted in ceramic – one of the most innovative and imperishable materials used in watchmaking today.

From underneath its protective sapphire-crystal cover, the self-winding movement mechanism can be seen.

Nestled below the hands is a traditional, oversized small-seconds register at the six o’clock position, as well as a boldly sized date in a double window at two o’clock, presenting points of interest.

As craftsmanship in yacht building advances through technology, so does watchmaking. Conquering the oceans with its precision instruments for 165 years, Ulysse Nardin continues its journey of innovation, guiding yachtsmen on the water and into the future with its state-of-the-art mechanical timepieces.

The Ulysse Nardin Monaco 2011 Executive Dual is a limited-edition collection of 100 pieces.

LOUIS VUITTON - Tambour Diving II Chronograph Only Watch 2011

For the fourth consecutive time, Louis Vuitton is participating in Only Watch, the exceptional auction in aid of the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM). This event, which is held every two years under the high patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, is a call to arms for research into Duchenne muscular dystrophy. 40 of the most prestigious fine watchmaking Maisons will be donating an exceptional timepiece, the first in a limited edition series, or a unique piece. The fourth Only Watch auction, all the profits of which will be donated to AMM, will be held on 23 September 2011 in the grounds of the Monaco Yacht Show.

For Only Watch 2011, Louis Vuitton is revisiting one of its star timepieces, the Tambour Diving II. The distinctively sporty Tambour Diving II chronograph, a unique piece in black gold, pairs an ultra- modern design with indispensable diving functions: a unidirectional rotating bezel and large luminescent indicators that make it easy to read the time. The La Joux-Perret column wheel movement also offers a chronograph function, which is extremely useful to sportsmen.
Paul Pettavino, the son of AMM's President who initiated Only Watch, worked with Louis Vuitton on the watch’s design and its presentation case, which contains a message from Paul Pettavino embossed inside. As in previous years, the watch’s design adopts Paul’s favourite colour orange, which has even become the symbol of the collaboration between Only Watch and Louis Vuitton. The details of the watch, such as the seconds counter at 6 o’clock that revisits the codes of the diver’s flag, match the orange strap and complement the black of the dial. The back of the case bears the inscription “Only Watch 2011”.

On September 22nd 2011 in Monaco, Harry Winston is taking part in the Only Watch charity auction organized by the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM), under the Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II. Keenly aware of the gravity of this pathology and eager to affirm its commitment to children, Harry Winston has developed and produced for this exceptional event an exclusive Grande Complication model: the Harry Winston’s Only Watch 2011 Midnight GMT Tourbillon.
Topped by a bezel discreetly bearing the three distinctive arches of the Harry Winston’s New York Salon, the case is crafted in platinum exclusively for Only Watch. Its 45 mm diameter magnificently frames a mechanical bidirectional automatic movement. Endowed with a 110-hour power reserve, the mechanism drives the horological complications appearing on en eminently masculine ruthenium dial. The tourbillon positioned at 6 o’clock carries the small seconds display, while the GMT display at 9 o’clock is enriched with a day/night indication. The 11 o’clock aperture indicates the cities representing the second timezone, including Monaco in tribute to the Only Watch event.
The alternating finishes accentuate the urban and sophisticated spirit of a model brilliantly combining horological tradition with the legendary Harry Winston creativity.
