Not content with decking out hotels in Edinburgh and Kuwait, Italian luxury brand, Missoni is putting its stamp on a new 52-storey condominium tower in Manila.

Developed by Century Properties Group, the Acqua Livingstone is the fourth of six condominium towers in the US$315.9 million Acqua Private Residences project, and is the first residential building in the world that will bear the colourful mark of the MissoniHome line.

“Living in a Missoni Home-designed address is a rare lifestyle experience. For the first time it will be possible at Acqua Livingstone,” said project head and Century Properties Group managing director Marco Antonio.

Renderings released so far depict plenty of bold colours and graphic patterns throughout the lobbies, hallways, elevators – true to the brand’s iconic style.

“Missoni Home is known for creating its own style that reflects a celebration of life,” said Vittorio Missoni, marketing director and shareholder of Missoni S.p.A. “Our brand is an experience of happiness, excitement, beauty, creativity, style and elegance.”

While the common areas are decked out in MissoniHome, the residences themselves do not come with the same touch – residents can opt for their units to be designed by Missoni for an additional sum.

The crowning jewel of the building is perhaps the The Canopy, a two-level amenity area located at the skydeck. Facilities such as an indoor and outdoor gym, Jacuzzi, library, spa, DJ booth, dance floor, and pool with swim up bar, all set the scene for a more social and entertainment-rich environment.

Tying the two levels together is an organic wire-mesh tree that winds its way up and connects to the mezzanine floor, where residents can enjoy an al fresco meal, or simply sit and take in the surrounding views.

Slated for completion in 2015, Acqua Livingstone will house 645 units, and pre-selling prices range from approximately US$82,000 to $613,000 for the first tranche. Unit sizes range from approximately 291 square feet to 1,500 square feet, with units of one to three bedrooms available.

Decorating model apartments is a challenge, the designer has to create a space inviting enough for potential residents to want to kick off their shoes and move right in but the space also has to have a broad enough appeal to suit many different tastes. Interior designer William T. Georgis designed the lobby at 350 West Broadway, a building of full-floor residences in New York's SoHo and he is behind the new model apartment at the building.

The newly built structure is home to six full floor residences and a duplex penthouse with a private roof. "In order to fully appreciate the elaborate design and custom quality of this building, we waited to unveil our model residence until construction was completed," said Developer Aby Rosen, principal of RFR Holding LLC and a man who knows a thing or two about luxury real estate in New York City.
