Oh what I would give to carry this Prada Raso Stone Clutch on New Year's Eve. The resin stones glisten so pretty and although they're not really Christmas colors (not to say everything has to be this time of year) they certainly are festive and full of happy party energy. Also available in shades of nude and shades of black it features a basic fold-over closure and does not have a shoulder strap so keep your hands clean or risk ruining the glassy lustre with fingerprints. It's also very tiny at just 7" long. $2,100

There's certainly no missing this bag, especially if you carry it against a little black dress. Versace does metallic in bright jewel-toned blue and highly polished patent leather on this Patent-Leather Small Shoulder Bag. The bag boasts a chunky silvertone chain shoulder strap, turn-lock closure on the fold-over front, double patch pockets on the back, and (the best part) a functional over-sized hinge for a top. The interior is lined in brown suede, which is pretty and always luxe to the touch, but I'm not crazy about the color choice. Nevertheless this bag is a gorgeous alternative to carrying a clutch. $ 1,895

This Jimmy Choo Fru Elaphe-Trimmed Leather Clutch looks a little like a big banana with its bright mustard yellow and slouchy oblong shape, but it's really more about bringing a little safari vibe to your casual urban style. Soft leather is accented with elaphe trim down the sides and around the exposed zip-top, plus little ruching here and there. It also has a metal and leather loop zipper pull and a tan suede lining with a patch pocket. One of a few clutches that can work day to day, $975.

It's a little crystal-covered bird perched on a big nest made of black satin and silver sequins and it would go wonderfully with your favorite LBD or almost any other evening ensemble. This Fringed Suede Shoulder Bag by Emilio Pucci is an interesting way to incorporate vibrant jewel tones into your evening wardrobe. A little wintery for me right now but it still has a lot of charm, I'm especially loving the large goldtone plaque with fold-over clasp closure that looks like a larger version of what I used to have on a jewelry box as a kid. Other features include goldtone studs running down either side, long dangling suede fringe hanging off the bottom, and a signature black and white print lining on the interior. $1,705

A bold and lovely way to 'get your spring on' this season is the  Block-Color Python bag by Versace. Featuring fresh seafoam green and lemon yellow paired with tan and white accents, this bag is all about texture and contrast and gives off an upbeat whimsical vibe without necessarily looking silly or childish.
